IGNOU committed to promoting Hindi

The Indira Gandhi National Open University ( IGNOU) is committed to conserving and promoting the Hindi language, Vice Chancellor V.N. Rajasekharan Pillai Thursday said.

‘Keeping in mind the government policies about the conservation of Indian languages, we leave no stone unturned to publish most of our courses in Hindi,’ Pillai said in a release here.

He added that the sudden spurt in the number of programmes offered by the university coupled with a dynamic approach towards education, training and capacity building has produced 11 lakh professionals in last 25 years.
