IGNPU will supply ebook readers to its MBA students
Indira Gandhi National Open University will supply ebook readers pre-loaded with study material to its MBA students within six months.
The move is aimed at enabling students to carry the required material without having to carry 10-15 books. The move is also intended to reduce the consumption of paper.

IGNOU to provide English course through Nokia phone
Nokia India and Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) announced a first-of-its-kind strategic collaboration to provide mobile intervention for Certification Programs in English on Nokia’s Ovi Life Tools.
As per the alliance, the two organisations will pilot a Certificate Programme in Functional English (CFE) on Nokia devices supporting the Ovi Life Tools.

HC notice to Nursing Council not recognising IGNOU nursing course
The Delhi High Court sought response from the Indian Nursing Council for not recognising a post-graduate nursing course offered by IGNOU at Safdarjung Hospital Centre.

IGNOU introduces on-demand exam system
Students at the Indira Gandhi National Open University ( IGNOU) will now have the freedom to choose the date and venue of their term-end examination with the introduction of ‘On-Demand-Examinations’.
