IGNOU offers selected PG courses in regular mode
Indira Gandhi National Open University (Ignou) announced its entry into conventional mode of education by offering full-time graduate and four post-graduate programmes on Sunday.
The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) today began offering three post-graduate programmes in the regular mode.
The full-time PG programmes — MA in Journalism and Mass Communication, Electronic Media and Management were launched by Urban Development Minister S Jaipal Reddy.
Two other courses — B.Ed (Special Education) and a Foundation Course for In-Service Teachers — were launched by Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Mukul Wasnik.
The vice chancellor of Ignou, V N Rajasekharan Pillai said that in keeping with international trends in education, Ignou is now following flexible modes of education delivery. This mode combines face-to-face, distance and on-line approaches of dissemination.
